Shop Key
Sprite of a Shop Key and Storage Key in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Icon of an item from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (Nintendo Switch)
The Thousand-Year Door description A key that opens the door to the storage room in the shop.

The Shop Key is an item in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door and its Nintendo Switch remake. Mario is given permission by the Twilight Shop manager's wife to take whatever he needs from the Twilight Shop storage room, but the door to it is locked. The key, which is found past the fallen tree blocking his path in Twilight Trail, can be collected using Koops's Shell Toss ability. Once unlocked, various helpful items can be found in the storage room. In addition, the room contains a black chest which curses Mario with the Tube ability, allowing him to roll under the fallen tree the Shop Key was found by and continue towards Creepy Steeple.
