Pendulum Platforms (also referred to as Pendulum Lifts[1] or swinging platforms[2]) are a type of platform in the Super Mario series. They are chained platforms that sway from side to side indefinitely

New Super Mario Bros. Wii[edit]

Pendulum Platforms first appear in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. They appear only in World 1-Tower.

New Super Mario Bros. U / New Super Luigi U / New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe[edit]

Pendulum Platforms return in New Super Mario Bros. U, New Super Luigi U, and New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, exhibiting exactly the same behavior as in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. They were changed from being colored red to blue. They appear in Lemmy's Swingback Castle in the former and in Lemmy's Lights-Out Castle and Boo's Favorite Haunt in the latter.
