Roust these cads! is the twenty-eighth Trouble Center mission in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, initiated by Doe T. It is one of the last three missions that are available only after defeating the Shadow Queen. Ian Foomus has no hints available for it in the remake.

Success

After taking on the trouble, Mario must travel to Boggly Woods to find Doe T., who reveals that he has come to the woods to see the Great Tree for himself, but is spooked by the thugs in his path. Since contending with goons is not part of his repertoire, he asks Mario to give all the goons a proper thrashing. Mario must defeat every single enemy between Doe T. and a pipe that leads to the Great Tree. After the last enemy is eliminated, Doe T. walks up to Mario, rewards him with twenty coins in the original game or thirty in the remake (his change from lunch), to show his thanks, and the trouble is solved. Afterward, Mario can optionally talk to Doe T. again just outside the Great Tree.

In-game description[edit]

  • "I really wanted to see the Great Tree, but there are many cads in the way! Won't someone please roust these ne'er-do-wells? I am waiting in Boggly Woods near the Great Tree."
