Magma Road Marathon is the twenty-sixth level of Episode 3 in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker and its Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS ports of the same name. It is played by Captain Toad.
Layout[edit]
This level takes place on a rocky path above lava. Captain Toad must use Dash Pads and Propeller Platforms to progress through this level, while also watching out for the Charvaarghs. The rocky path is fairly linear, with a few path splits leading to the Super Gems.
Notably, this level received some changes on the Switch port due to the console's lack of a microphone. The Propeller Platforms at the start of the level and near the third Super Gem were replaced with automatically moving Lifts, while the Propeller Platforms near the second Super Gem were removed entirely. The second Super Gem was moved further back into the level because of this.
Super Gems[edit]
Wii U / 3DS[edit]
- Super Gem 1: On the first split in the rocky road, the player must go left and climb a spiraling rock to get to the Super Gem.
- Super Gem 2: On top of a Propeller Platform about one-fourth of the way through the level.
- Super Gem 3: In a secret area away from the main path. The player must use a Clear Pipe Cannon to reach it.
Switch[edit]
- Super Gem 1: On the first split in the rocky road, the player must go left and climb a spiraling rock to get to the Super Gem.
- Super Gem 2: In a secret area away from the main path. The player must use a Clear Pipe Cannon to reach it.
- Super Gem 3: At the circular fork-in-the-road found shortly after the Clear Pipe Cannon.
