Gateway's Purple Coins is the second mission of the Gateway Galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy. The objective is to collect all the Purple Coins around the planet by utilizing the Red Star power-up. This mission is only made accessible after the Gate has been unlocked on the Comet Observatory.

When Mario enters the galaxy during the mission's first playthrough, Rosalina will greet him.
