Chairs are hazardous objects found in Big Boo's Haunt in Super Mario 64 and Super Mario 64 DS. They are wooden chairs, animated through unknown means. Only two appear, both in a single room accessed from the foyer, in the second door on the left. When a chair is approached, it rises into the air, rotates, comes to a stop, and then hurls itself in the direction of the player character;[1] a chair continues to move until it hits a surface, causing it to disappear. If a chair hits the player character, the latter loses two wedges of his Power Meter.
