This proposal is for pages that will be merged into a different article due to a proposal or informal discussion. To use it, place <code><nowiki>{{merge to|DESTINATION}}</nowiki></code> if the debate is on the talk page of the article that will receive the merged content ("DESTINATION"); if the discussion is on a different talk page (including the one of the article that this template is placed on), place <code><nowiki>{{merge to|DESTINATION|DIFFERENT PAGE}}</nowiki></code>. If only a specific section is being merged to a different article, place <code><nowiki>{{merge to|DESTINATION|section=yes}}</nowiki></code> (or <code><nowiki>{{merge to|DESTINATION|DIFFERENT PAGE|section=yes}}</nowiki></code>) at the top of that section.

About

This template is for suggesting a page be merged into one or more other pages. Its usage must be accompanied by a talk page discussion (which should not be tagged with {{talk}}). This discussion should lead to either 1) action being taken if there is unanimous support, 2) the tag removed and settled by talk page proposal, or 3) the tag removed and the suggestion abandoned if there is major opposition.

Usage

  • Basic format: {{merge to|Page 1|Page 2|Page 3|...}}
  • Change the "discuss" link: {{merge to|Page 1|discuss=Talk:Article#Topic}}
