The player has to put the biggest [[Cheep Cheep]] on the scale by reeling it within the time limit. The player must place the bobber over the silhouette, and when a Cheep Cheep bites the line, the player must press the sequence of buttons in the correct order to reel it in; the heavier the Cheep Cheep, the more buttons that must be pressed. However, the Cheep Cheep swims away if all the buttons are not pushed in time. If the player catches a heavier Cheep Cheep, it replaces the Cheep Cheep if it is of lesser weight.

In [[Shroom City (Mario Party Advance)|Shroom City]], the player must win by placing a Cheep Cheep above the required weight on the scale before time runs out.
