Slime is a species, as well as a character, from the Dragon Quest series of games which is published by Square Enix. Slime appears as a playable character alongside Super Mario characters in Itadaki Street DS, Mario Sports Mix, and Fortune Street. The Slimes have a more menacing design than in the games and attack through spitting acidic slime. The sound effect used for their attack is Fire Mario's use of fireballs.
