In this game, the player has to move [[Mario]] around with the left and right arrow keys to bounce a [[Soccer Ball|soccer ball]] on his head repeatedly. The ball can be used to collect character icons which appear in random locations above Mario, earning him points for a score. Mario himself can collect items that appear at regular intervals and temporarily change his speed when collected: [[Mushroom]]s speed him up, while [[Blue Shell]]s cause him to slow down. The item that is currently taking effect is displayed on the top-left corner of the screen.

Super Mario Strikers -- Heads Up, formatted in-game as Heads-Up, was an online Flash advergame published by Nintendo around the release of Super Mario Strikers for the Nintendo GameCube. It was listed in the Nintendo Arcade, a now defunct section with web games on Nintendo's website.[2]
