A Bomb Berry[1][2] (or Bomb-Berry)[2] is a fruit that appears in Yoshi's Story. Bomb Berries resemble yellow-and-red eggplants and are covered in green spikes. Bomb Berries appear only in Jungle Puddle. At first, they are invisible, but once the player walks past them, they begin to grow to full size. They continue to grow until their weight causes them to fall off into the water, where they slowly sink to the bottom. A new Bomb Berry then grows from the original spot after a while. Getting in contact with a Bomb Berry causes a Yoshi to make its Smile Meter lose some petals. Eating it also causes the Yoshi to lose petals (except for the Black and White Yoshis).
