The door from the [[Armory]] led to the Ceramics Studio, a room with many ornate jars and vases. As [[Luigi]] moved about, enjoying the pottery, [[Jarvis]] appeared out of one of them, scolding Luigi for looking at his collection without his permission. Jarvis challenges Luigi to a sort of Whack-A-Mole type game–if Luigi can use Ice Element to freeze him seven times, he'll let Luigi look at the jars and vases. There was no choice. Jarvis locked Luigi in and the game began. Luigi eventually emerged the victor, and Jarvis got angry, flinging his vases at the plumber. Dodging some and sucking up others, Luigi saw an opening and attacked the jar collector. Jarvis had only a medium pull and was soon stuffed in the [[Poltergust 3000]]. With the ghost in the dust bag, Luigi received a green treasure chest with many treasures, the most valuable being a [[Blue Diamond]].

If the player were to search any the vases before Jarvis appears or if the player were to leave the room when the lights go on without searching the vases, the Red Ruby will not spawn from the gold vase if searched, even if the player enters and exits the room many times. To undo the glitch, the player must not save their progress and instead restart the game from their last save point and defeat Jarvis again without searching the vases and leaving the room when lit. The Red Ruby will appear when the player searches the gold vase when the lights go on.

The Ceramics Studio is a room of the mansion accessed during Area Four in Luigi's Mansion and its remake. There are nine jars and vases, many of which contain treasure, including one with a Red Ruby. There are cardboard boxes on and under the shelf that wobble around and sound like a ceramic jar when vacuumed, presumably from being given incorrect properties during the game's development. There are four on the north and south walls. The jar near the center of the room is frozen and spawns an Ice Elemental Ghost. Some crates and chairs are stacked behind the crafts. In the top right corner of the room is a chimney blocked by wooden boards. The Ceramics Studio is where Jarvis is fought and captured, causing a green treasure chest with a Blue Diamond and other treasures to appear.

In the remake, there is a glitch that happens with the Red Ruby in this room.
