Windup Stairs (known as Wind-Up Stairs in PAL version) is the eleventh course of Episode 2 Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker and its Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS ports of the same name.

Layout[edit]

This course takes place on a giant windup music box. Toadette needs to reach the top of the music box while avoiding the Spike's rollers, and then land on his head in order to defeat him and open the doorway to the Power Star.

Super Gems[edit]

Three Super Gems can be found throughout the level.

  • Super Gem 1: On the moving section on the right.
  • Super Gem 2: On a platform accessible via the moving section on the left side.
  • Super Gem 3: Inside the central structure; accessed via an opening on the moving section to the right.

Enemies[edit]

Pixel Toad[edit]

The Pixel Toad can be seen in the arch of the moving ramp to Spike's left.

Luigi Sighting[edit]

  • An 8-bit Luigi can be seen on the back of the smaller set of windup stairs, when it goes down.
