Tightrope Treachery (stylized as TightRope Treachery) is a 1-vs-3 minigame in Mario Party. It was later remade into Rainbow Run in Mario Party 2.
Overview[edit]
As the solo player walks across a tightrope, the three team players shoot cannonballs from cannon boats to try and remove them.[1] There are also gusts of wind that put the solo player at risk. If the solo player falls off, they lose, with each team player receiving five Coins from the solo player. If the solo player makes it to the end, they win five Coins from each team player.
There are multiple endings. If the solo player wins, they do their victory pose while the team players do their losing poses. If the team players win, they do winning animations. If the solo player falls off, they are taken away by a Blooper, resulting in a "Miss!" The solo player does their losing pose if time runs out. The announcer always says, "Finish!" on the Mini-Game Island variation, even if the player loses.
Tightrope Treachery costs 250 Coins to buy at the Mini-Game House.
