Pardon me for maybe being ignorant on the matter, but have you gotten permission to move the {{tem|rewrite-expand}} template? Moving a template to a new page can break a lot of links, and it usually involves input from the staff before moving it. Additionally, if you haven't gotten permission, a {{tem|warning}} may be issued, as you have made a major change without the approval of higher-ups. Not trying to sound nagging here, just letting you know. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 13:48, 16 March 2017 (EDT) | Pardon me for maybe being ignorant on the matter, but have you gotten permission to move the {{tem|rewrite-expand}} template? Baby Yoshis[edit]
You say the Yoshis in Yoshi's Woolly World are Baby Yoshis, but I don't think that's quite right. Can you provide a source for your info? If I'm proved wrong, I'll correct my mistakes. 19:46, 4 October 2016 (EDT)
Minor Edits[edit]
Hi there! Just a quick reminder (well, not an actual {{reminder}}), remember to check the box that says "This is a minor edit" for, well, minor edits. I'm talking about this edit. Thanks for reading and keep contributing!

Optimizing PNGs[edit]
It's a good idea to optimize PNGs before uploading. Here's why. Not in trouble, just a recommendation based on your recent uploads for Hotel Mario. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 23:37, 16 December 2016 (EST)
Moving template pages[edit]
Pardon me for maybe being ignorant on the matter, but have you gotten permission to move the {{rewrite-expand}} template? Moving a template to a new page can break a lot of links, and it usually involves input from the staff before moving it. Additionally, if you haven't gotten permission, a {{warning}} may be issued, as you have made a major change without the approval of higher-ups. Not trying to sound nagging here, just letting you know. 13:48, 16 March 2017 (EDT)
- I do not think it is correct to move {{rewrite-expand}} to {{Incomplete}}. We already have {{Stub}} for that. {{rewrite-expand}} is for articles that are poorly written and lacking detail. You should create proposals before making changes like that. --Super Mario Fan 67 (T•C•S) 14:24, 16 March 2017 (EDT)
Warning[edit]
This is a warning to stop your inappropriate behavior (making major changes without approval) on the Super Mario Wiki. Please adhere to the rules or you will be blocked from editing this site. If you feel this warning was undeserved, you may appeal it. |
Learned you have moved the template without any discussion from the staff or other users. Please make some sort of discussion before enacting a major change next time. 14:22, 16 March 2017 (EDT)
- I agree with this sort of change (like Bulbapedia), but for a change like this, you need to create a proposal and consider as many aspects of the change as possible. Here's some other templates that should be considered: {{construction}}, {{rewrite}}, {{rewrite-expand}}, {{stub}}, {{stub}}, {{image}}, {{more images}}, and other templates I may have missed. Half-baked ideas don't do so well compared to fully formed ideas. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 15:19, 16 March 2017 (EDT)
Moving Contents[edit]
Be sure to check everywhere the article turned into a redirect links to (your redirect and article). Mostly, the namespace template will do the majority of the links, which will make the transition way easier. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 18:26, 17 March 2017 (EDT)
Mario Kart 8 image[edit]
http://nintendonews.com/news/wii-u/diddy-kong-birdo-kamek-mario-kart-8/ Rumor: Diddy Kong, Birdo, Kamek Spotted In Mario Kart 8
The image is photoshopped. Diddy, Birdo, and Kamek are not in Mario Kart 8 and will not be, since Nintendo is focusing more on Mario Kart 8 Deluxe that they aren't going to release anymore DLC for the original game. Please do not add the information again. 11:28, 11 April 2017 (EDT)
Template Pages[edit]
I'm not seeing any discussion about the creation of the tt and tt2 templates. You've been warned about this before, so please show me the discussions if I have missed them. Otherwise, the templates may be deleted for being created without approval. You can't just go making templates. 17:44, 14 May 2017 (EDT)
- About the templates, they are useful, but I'm wondering if you created these from scratch or if you copied the code from somewhere else. Please respond within 7 days, or we're just going to delete them due to administrative oversight. 12:43, 15 May 2017 (EDT)
Also, did you discuss the creation of Template:Fandom with anyone? Additionally, I'm not sure copying a template from another wiki like you did with the templates mentioned above is allowed. --TheFlameChomp (talk) 10:30, 16 May 2017 (EDT)
Templates[edit]
To add to Lindsay151's comment on https://www.mariowiki.com/Template_talk:Tt , there are many reasons why nicking a template from another wiki is not acceptable:
-Beyond the fact that simply lifting coding from another NIWA member wholesale looks bad, Bulbapedia's and Mariowiki's copyright clauses are different and thus, incompatible.
-Even if the two licenses were compatible, nearly all wiki licenses require borrowed content to be properly attributed to the original editors. Which you did not do.
-Even if there were no such clauses in the licenses, asking someone if they're fine with you borrowing their content is the moral and professional thingto do.
So yeah, please do not copy templates wholesale from other wikis, unless the licenses are compatible and you properly attribute the original coder, or ask for their permission. Doing otherwise is a serious ethical problem and could give the wiki real bad PR. I hope you realize that. --Glowsquid (talk) 11:01, 16 May 2017 (EDT)
- I replied there to Template talk:Tt. I think the template idea is a good one, but a proposal needs to be created before proceeding, which many members have tried to tell you before and you ignored it, including myself. Also consider Glowsquid (talk)'s notes about copying. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 14:59, 16 May 2017 (EDT)
Signature[edit]
I noticed your signature insersion ~~~~
is inserting raw code instead of your actual signature. Here's Help:Signature to get that back to working based on policy. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 15:08, 16 May 2017 (EDT)
Signature[edit]
File:Sms wiggler.jpg is getting replaced by File:Wiggler SMS.png, which is used by your signature, and will be deleted. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 19:14, 23 June 2017 (EDT)
Moving pages[edit]
Hello! When moving pages, please do not copy and paste them. Instead, mark the redirect for deletion and let an administrator delete it, and move the page once the redirect is deleted. This allows page histories to be preserved. --TheFlameChomp (talk) 16:02, 1 September 2017 (EDT)
- Additionally, do not move pages before a discussion has ended and a decision is agreed upon. Thanks. 21:56, 1 September 2017 (EDT)
Yoshi puzzles -> Yoshi (series)?[edit]
Hello. I noticed that you copied and paste Yoshi puzzles to Yoshi (series). First, that is not how to move something to a new place. You press move in the tab section. Second, the move you are wanting to make. Unless you have proof of why it should be moved, it should not be moved to Yoshi (series). Even then, you must show it to other users. And Yoshi puzzles was establish by a proposal, so this is especially the case. Yoshi the SSM (talk) 16:05, 1 September 2017 (EDT)
- Also, for moves this large, you need to make a proposal first, then it has to succeed. You can't just move things like that around willy-nilly. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 15:09, 1 September 2017 (CT)

Buttons[edit]
A proposal recently passed to change the switch buttons to be more easily readable, as well as adding a few buttons (See Here). Since you are the one who made the buttons, I was hoping you could make these changes.-- 11:08, 11 January 2018 (EST)

Leaked MK8DX Images[edit]
I'm pretty sure these two images you uploaded are fake, especially since the video they're from was uploaded on April 1st. LuigiMaster123 16:35, 20 January 2018 (EST)

Baby Yoshis in Woolly World?[edit]
Hey there! I was trawling through the wiki edit pages, and it seems that you're the first person to have any mention of Woolly World having Baby Yoshis. Have any source on that? Thanks in advance. YarnPoochy 05:17, 4 March 2018 (EST) YarnPoochy 05:17, 4 March 2018 (EST)
- Found the only instance in the Yoshi franchise where Baby Yoshis are mentioned is in Yoshi's Story. Please do not continue to change and revert this information, unless you have a source that says otherwise. 11:59, 4 March 2018 (EST)
Proposals Info[edit]
First of all, there's no need to place the same proposal in two different places. Just once is enough.
Second, you wait until after the proposal ends to make the proposed changes, not while the proposal is active. Wait. 13:28, 6 March 2018 (EST)
