Rhinestone Goombas[1] are Elvis Presley-impersonating Goombas that only appear in Hotel Mario. Rhinestone Goombas are similar to regular Goombas, except for that they are faster, even faster than Mario and Luigi. The plumbers have to jump over them in a few instances. Rhinestone Goombas themselves occasionally jump about the same height as a Flying Goomba's hop, but with farther distance due to their speed. Their name may be a reference to the song “Rhinestone Cowboy” by Glen Campbell, a country singer who was heavily influenced by Elvis Presley.
