The other three RPG games have an article called a "bestiary". This is the only one that breaks the consistency of it. I say we should rename this article to "Mario & Luigi: Dream Team bestiary" to make the article names much more consistent. Besides, it's much less wordy than "List of enemy stats in Mario & Luigi: Dream Team". Being precise is the key, and if we can achieve the same meaning with fewer words, then we should go for it. | The other three RPG games have an article called a "bestiary". Five year late, but better late than never: looking at Smoldergeist's stats directly from the game (address 0x1485D174 on EU v1.1 during the Smoldergeist battle) shows that his speed is 0xE703 or 0x3E7 if we reverse the bytes, or 999. This is correct. However, looking at Wiggler's and Popple's stats: Popple (0x1485D174 still during the Wiggler battle) shows us 0x0100 or 1 while on the Wiki it says 4. There's actually a second Popple however; if you look at address 0x1485D69C, you'll find 0x7D00 or 125. The first Popple's power (0x1485D170) is 1, while the second Popple's power (0x1485D698) corresponds to what it says on Mariowiki: 0xC300 or 195. I suspect that the first Popple is a placeholder for before you actually get to fight him. His speed should be changed to 125.
For Wiggler, it says his speed is 1, on the Wiki. However, looking at it from in-game (0x1485D408), it shows 0x4E00 or 78. Wiggler's speed is not 1. There are no enemies in this fight beyond these fights (enemy data is loaded and each enemy have 0x294 bytes between them, if that makes sense. Unloaded enemies show as a bunch of zeroes.
Conclusion: Popple's speed and Wiggler's speed is incorrect while Smoldergeist's speed is, according to the game, correct.--Snodeca (talk) 07:48, December 15, 2020 (EST)

== "????" AKA Antasma's health ==
I noticed that people say that "Antasma's health can be 4, or 3, or 2" and Keyblade adds a note saying "Best to leave it as is", setting it to 4. However, his TRUE HP is 20. Loading up the game and viewing his HP through looking at the RAM, his HP is 20, but whenever his attack ends, it is set to 1. This happens each time he does his attack. After he attacks, you can set his HP back to 20 or any other number that isn't >2 and he'll do his attack, and then sets the HP back to 1. This creates the illusion that he only has, at minimum, 2 HP.
But his real HP is 20. Shouldn't we be writing his real HP as is written in the game's data? Or do we leave it as is? I'll add some sort of proof if people need it. --Snodeca (talk) 13:17, January 8, 2021 (EST)
:If that is true, then it should definitely be changed to 20 HP (see Shrowser's statbox in the Partners in Time bestiary for a similar case in point). <s>Not sure if you've ever played Kingdom Hearts before, but referring to me as just "Keyblade" is a bit awkward.</s>
== Should "faux-real" be removed? ==
Is "Faux-real" a useful distinction to make on a page entirely about gameplay data rather than the story? The X Bosses taking place in the real world are functionally real world battles and functionally have Mario and Luigi fighting in them with all of their real world abilities (and none of the Dream World ones.) I think this page should just ignore the story concept of reliving old battles through dreams, and simply say these fights are real world ones. Giant Bosses[edit]
Should we put some giant boss stats?--Mariobro101 (talk) 18:00, 17 September 2013 (EDT)
- Originally, I planned to under the assumption they'd have enemy stats like those in Bowser's Inside Story, but it's not the case here for Dream Team. Seeing as how Luigi's and the bosses' attacks deal the same amount of damage regardless of Luigi's current level, and how the Prima's guide does not even list their stats -- aside from coins, gear and items dropped -- I decided to leave them out. It's already mentioned in the main article anyway. --Zootalo (talk) 23:33, 17 September 2013 (EDT)
- They're mostly meaningless, but at this point the pages for the giant bosses actually have listed stats, so perhaps giant bosses should be included after all? --Lenare (talk) 00:29, 3 September 2016 (PST)
- I looked at the RAM Addresses of their HP in-game, and I found that the HP of Giant Bosses are stored as a Floating Point address. Every single Giant Boss' max HP is 100.0 (aka, 100) and they usually get to their final star state at about 3.0 to 5.0, depending on the boss. As far as I know, GIANT BOSSES DO NOT HAVE STATS. So... - If anyone has any idea how the stats were found, please do explain. If there is no answer on this, I would like to suggest to leave their stats blank (with a -) but keep them on the page for the items, coins and such. Thanks! --Snodeca (talk) 18:04, January 28, 2021 (EST)

Rename List of enemy stats in Mario & Luigi: Dream Team to Mario & Luigi: Dream Team bestiary[edit]
This talk page proposal has already been settled. Please do not edit any of the sections in the proposal. If you wish to discuss the article, do so in a new header below the proposal. |
rename 8-0
The other three RPG games have an article called a "bestiary". This is the only one that breaks the consistency of it. I say we should rename this article to "Mario & Luigi: Dream Team bestiary" to make the article names much more consistent. Besides, it's much less wordy than "List of enemy stats in Mario & Luigi: Dream Team". Being precise is the key, and if we can achieve the same meaning with fewer words, then we should go for it.

Rename[edit]
- Baby Luigi (talk)
- Tails777 (talk) Per Baby Luigi. It should be like that for the other Stat pages as well.
- Randombob-omb4761 (talk) Simpler.
- Mario4Ever (talk) Per proposal.
- LeftyGreenMario (talk) Using one word to describe four words is usually better.
- Zootalo (talk) Per all, and the BIS page should be renamed as such, too.
- Icemario11 (talk) Per proposal.
- Yoshi876 (talk) Per consistency.
Leave it[edit]

Wait, there's also "List of enemy stats in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story" as well? -_-; Ray Trace(T|C) 13:32, 1 November 2013 (EDT)
- That's why I undid my vote, I needed more time to think.-- 14:17, 1 November 2013 (EDT)
tbh, I don't think such a minor and uncontroversial rename needs to go through the TPP process, especially since renaming it would be consistent with most existing pages anyway. --Glowsquid (talk) 20:06, 1 November 2013 (EDT)
- I suspected it would be controversial, that's why I made it Ray Trace(T|C) 22:08, 2 November 2013 (EDT)
Torkscrew enemies[edit]
During the Torkscrew fight, there are two enemies that sometimes appear. They seem to drop 5 coins and sometimes a Shock Bomb or Secret Box. Can this be added to the page? Avengah (talk) 05:20, 18 February 2014 (EST)
Propellion speed[edit]
I think the entry's wrong. It says 42, same as its HP, but my speed is 34 and I'm moving first. When I fight Dreamcaps, they move first so Propellions must be slower. Avengah (talk) 20:03, 19 March 2014 (EDT)
- I fixed it so it now says 22 instead of 42. Thanks for pointing that out. --Zootalo (talk) 14:16, 25 March 2014 (EDT)
Dry Bones[edit]
They have HP and can be attacked separately if you don't kill Kamek when they're summoned. If you hit them enough they collapse for a few turns. Since they have HP they're not the same sort of thing as Beanies so I think they should be added. Avengah (talk) 17:23, 23 November 2014 (EST)
Smoldergeist's speed[edit]
It says that Smoldergeist has 999 speed but you go before Smoldergeist always! It should say 1. Even if you don't choose to hear the tutorial on Badges, than you still go first.71.28.38.255 09:47, 15 January 2015 (EST)
- All the stats in this bestiary were pulled directly from the Prima Guide; both the physical and E-Guide indeed say "999". Wigger's speed rating is strange, too, as it's listed as "0". --Zootalo (talk) 13:34, 15 January 2015 (EST)
