The Floating Whirlindas, Luigi's Mansion

The Floating Whirlindas, the Dancing Couple, are two of the portrait ghosts who escaped imprisonment before the events of Luigi's Mansion and its remake. According to the Game Boy Horror, the Floating Whirlindas used to be the local waltz champions, but they are unable to compete anymore because their feet cannot touch the ground. Their portrait number in Professor E. Gadd's gallery is 10.

Luigi's Mansion[edit]

To make them visible, Luigi has to stand on one of the spinning tiles and face away from them. While visible, the gentleman eventually exclaims "Dance!". Both will then do a dance pose, exposing their heart and thus making them vulnerable to being vacuumed by the Poltergust 3000. Capturing the pair gives Luigi the key to the Storage Room.
