ok, i was just wondering, if helping a brother edit the wiki, is a form of sockpuppetry. the thing is, my brother is busy sometines, so when he leaves, he leaves a list of things he wants to change, and his exact wording for what the edit is. he leaves, and i have to edit what he left for me. im concerned that someone might claim its sockpuppeting, so im asking this here. if it is, then i'll stop doing that, and never do it again. | ok, i was just wondering, if helping a brother edit the wiki, is a form of sockpuppetry. the thing is, my brother is busy sometines, so when he leaves, he leaves a list of things he wants to change, and his exact wording for what the edit is. he leaves, and i have to edit what he left for me. im concerned that someone might claim its sockpuppeting, so im asking this here. if it is, then i'll stop doing that, and never do it again.

:Right, but according to the Coin Block article, a Coin Block is any type of Block that can yield coins. Both Brick Blocks and ? Blocks retain their individual identities because both of them can release a variety of items. Among those items that can be released are coins. So Brick Blocks and ? Blocks are only considered to be Coin Blocks when they release coins, and not any of the other items that it is within the realm of possibility for them to release. In other words, a Coin Block has to be either a Brick Block or a ? Block, but a Brick Block or ? Block does not necessarily have to be a Coin Block. What you're referring to from Super Mario Galaxy 2 is a ? Block that is considered to be a Coin Block because it releases coins. So technically, it's both a Coin Block and a ? Block. At any rate, there really aren't any discrepancies between what the wiki says and what the manual says. I hope that answers your question. | :Right, but according to the Coin Block article, a Coin Block is any type of Block that can yield coins. Both Brick Blocks and [[? Thanks for answering my last question. Can i create a game called Coin Game in my "new user page", or is it illegal? I've seen people creating "markets" in their userpages. Link here (sorry, wrong link)

Sorry for asking three questions in a row, but i would like to know if there's any way to my "user page contribuitions" don't appear in recent changes page. I'm actually having problems with my user page, and i'm scared that semeone gives me a warning or i get blocked for making too many edits. Also, i would like to know if i can use the line "YoshiKong do a better job with the Wiki than any cop patrolling the city." in my "Coin Game". Thanks. :There is no way that you can hide your userpage edits on the recent changes. The best you can do is try to make all the changes you want in one edit. Also, the correct would be "YoshiKong does a better job with the Wiki than any cop patrolling the city". ---

Patroller
How do I become a Patroller or Sysop? Tails777
- Take a look at MarioWiki:FAQ#How do I become an admin? --™ The 'Shroom 22:25, 5 January 2011 (EST)
Question
Hi, while i have been looking through some pages I've noticed the words Sequel and follow-up. What is the difference between a sequel and a follow-up?
-IGGY7735
- I don't think there's a very large difference, a sequel is a game that came out to follow-up the game before. So I'd say they are the same, or so similar that it doesn't really matter. Marioguy1 (talk)
Hi, i cant edit my page, can you help?Minimario
- You have to be a member of the wiki for a week and make ten mainspace edits before you can create and edit your userpage. It's explained on MarioWiki:Autoconfirmed users. - Walkazo 23:41, 3 February 2011 (EST)

This Big Box
I am a new user. HOW DO I GET THIS ANNOYING BOX OUT OF MY TALK PAGE???!!!??? --MushroomMadness1221
- Do you mean the table of contents, or the welcome template? If you don't want a table of contents, edit the page and type __NOTOC__ at the very top of the editing window, in the line right above the welcome template (don't leave a space between them, or there will be empty space above the welcome template). If you don't want the welcome template, simply remove it (edit the page and remove the part that reads MushroomMadness1221 ). - Walkazo 13:04, 22 February 2011 (EST)
The 'Shroom
Dear Super Mario Wiki,
I have a question. I see that many places on the 'Shroom are vacant, but some are not. Is there any way I could write on the 'Shroom too? I would really like to do the Fake Police Blogger, but it may not be vacant by the time you may answer me. But is there any way I can do the 'Shroom? My name is Nintendo Bro. and I am a "member", or something like that. But however, I just started. So please write back in your free time, Sysops or Administrators? I appreciate it. -Nintendo Bro--

Q
Can anyone give warnings, reminders, ect, or do only Wiki Admins get to do that? I was wondering, that if we can't give warnings, do we report a person to a admin? Boo Who Plays Games Happy Easter!

Boo Who Plays Games Happy Easter! 22:58, 14 April 2011 (EDT)
- It'd count as a User Talk edit, which is different than Userspace edits. If you go to the search page, it has all the different types of namespace listed (all of which are tallied separately in Edit Count); if you want to know which namespace a page fits in, just look at the prefix that comes before the colon (and of course, if there's no colon, it's mainspace). - Walkazo 12:43, 15 April 2011 (EDT)

Infobox
How do you make an infobox? Superfiremario
Will anyone answer me? Superfiremario
- As in make one from scratch? Find an existing infobox similar in design to what you're planning and copy its coding, then tweak it to fit your needs. Remember to check to see if your new coding makes the infobox look like how you want it to look using the Preview button, rather than saving and re-editing it over and over again. - Walkazo 12:52, 28 April 2011 (EDT)
Wrong Image
I tried to upload a new version of a file, but I got the same version of the image instead of the new one. Why did this happen? BoygeyPumpkineer

Well, I removed the backround & when I did upload it, the BG was still there. o~0 BoygeyPumpkineer
- Sometimes the image doesn't appear to change right away. Try checking on it again later (or, as Glowsquid suggested, clear the cache, which should update it right away). - Walkazo 19:47, 25 April 2011 (EDT)
How do I clear the cache? BoygeyPumpkineer
- Your browser should have an option that allows you to access your recent history (in terms of what sites you've visited over a given period of time). Clear that information, and there you go. Mario4Ever (talk)

Donkey Kong Wikia copypasta?
Not the NIWA-affilated Donkey Kong, but the Donkey Kong from Wikia apparently. If I am not mistaken, this wiki and Wikia do not share the same license. Here's an example of their article K. Rool. Luigifan95 23:38, 7 June 2011 (EDT)
That's their way to get info, unfortunately. Each wiki provides original research based on the sources taken and used as references. The info in the wiki can be used by anyone as it of free-content and thus can be edited or deleted by anyone. As our information the we give has no license (it's free-content) they can use them whatever they like, even copy-pasting for their own wikies. In short, there is no way to stop them. ¢oincoll€ctor
- Well, that sucks. XzelionETC
- Free content or not, it's still plagiarism and we have a right to at least ask that they do something about it. In fact, if you look on MarioWiki:General disclaimer or on wikipedia (and wikimedia in general), you'll see that the Creative Commons License we use says that info can only be copied and redistributed if the contributing authors are attributed. If the DK wikia doesn't note that we wrote the info, they're not actually supposed to use it (as quoted from wikipedia: "public domain content is plagiarized if used without acknowledging the source"). By the way, the guy who copy-pasted our stuff is a user here (although he hasn't edited either database in months). - Walkazo 18:22, 9 June 2011 (EDT)

I have embedded a video but only a large amount of text and a few links leading to the page appear. How can I make the video itself appear?

("jGRjovnsbKI" being the ID of your video). - Walkazo 18:07, 19 June 2011 (EDT)

sockpuppet
ok, i was just wondering, if helping a brother edit the wiki, is a form of sockpuppetry. the thing is, my brother is busy sometines, so when he leaves, he leaves a list of things he wants to change, and his exact wording for what the edit is. he leaves, and i have to edit what he left for me. im concerned that someone might claim its sockpuppeting, so im asking this here. if it is, then i'll stop doing that, and never do it again. Mario and Toad's Fan 10:48, 28 June 2011 (EDT)
Hello! My question is still unanswered! If anyone missed it, its: Is it sockpuppeting for the above reasons. Somebody please answer this. Mario and Toad's Fan 09:49, 8 July 2011 (EDT)
- No, if a sibling has an account, it's not sockpuppeting. For example, Xzelion's, a Sysop, brother has an account, but it's allowed. Yoshiwaker I think that's what you're asking...
- Or he's asking about whether or not he's allowed to edit using his brother's account on behalf of his brother. You're not really supposed to do that, but it's not something we actively disallow. Unless you're maliciously impersonating the account's owner (which isn't the case here), you're not going to receive any warnings or other sorts of punishment. If the account's owner is fine with the arrangement, no harm, no foul. - Walkazo 13:32, 8 July 2011 (EDT)
Bad video ID
When I put a youtube video correctly, it says "Bad video ID!" after I save it. How can I stop this?
— The preceding unsigned comment was added by Yoshidino (talk).
- The point of this page really isn't to troubleshoot Userspace problems. If you can't figure it out on your own, based on the information on Help:Youtube, perhaps you should just give up. It's better if you focus your attention on editing anyway. - Walkazo 00:20, 4 July 2011 (EDT)
Disappearing
Why if I write something (being official), it is vanished? Why? User:Goomblob
- There are many reasons for why an edit may be revered. The information might not be important to that particular subject (Trivia, in particular, gets removed a lot), or it may have already been mentioned elsewhere in the article. If the quality of the writing or formatting was poor, it could have just been removed on those grounds. If it's not widely known to be official, it might have been mistakenly removed as false info or speculation (it's also possible that it was false, and you were the one who was mistaken). Users are strongly encouraged to provide reasoning when they undo an edit, so if you find that something you wrote was removed, you should look at the page's history to find out why. If the user didn't give a reason and the answer's not obvious, you can contact them and ask, or ask about it on the article's talk page. - Walkazo 23:48, 9 July 2011 (EDT)
Moving Images
how do i put images in different places other then the far right? Mini-Ian
- You can move it to the far left like this: , and while it's not done very often, you can centre images by typing "center" instead of "left", otherwise, the thumbnails automatically go to the right. - Walkazo 14:27, 13 July 2011 (EDT)
User Page Locked
I edit my user page and the next day... its locked even from me why?
— The preceding unsigned comment was added by Mini-Ian (talk).
- One of the Sysops probably locked your userpage because you were editing it too much. You need to focus more on editing the articles. Yoshiwaker
ok but do they unlock it once i edit a lot of stuff?.
— The preceding unsigned comment was added by Mini-Ian (talk).
- Most likely. Just keep on contributing to the mainspace more and you'll be in good shape. You can also look here to keep track of your edits. ! 08:57, 15 July 2011 (EDT)
I can't edit
However often I mark the games only released for the Famicom Disk System with asterisks, next time, they are back in bold. Why? Do not change my writing back to exactly how it was originally!
— The preceding unsigned comment was added by Pdjr9000 (talk).
Your edit was reverted cause those with the bold text depicted more preferable than marked with an asterisk. L151
Well, I prefer to mark it with an asterisk. Why should I support something I do not want, Lindsay???!!!
— The preceding unsigned comment was added by Pdjr9000 (talk).
- Because this is not your personal database and what you want it to look like is not necessarily what everyone else wants. And if someone reverts your edit (or gives you an answer you don't like), getting ornery about it is a BAD way to try and sort things out (as explained on MarioWiki:Courtesy). - Walkazo 14:02, 19 July 2011 (EDT)
Category creation
I would like to create a category for games that were planned for one console and then ported to another, such as Super Paper Mario and Super Mario 64. Unfortunately, I don't know how to create categories. How do I?
- I don't think that would be a good use of a category, since few games were planned like that. But, if you want to make a caegory, go to a page like Category:(whatever category it is), and then put the description of that category. Then put categories on different pages and done. Supremo

Perrow
What's perrow? (I don't found a translation) Goomblob
- It's not a word, it's coding used in gallery formatting; it's how we can change how many images are in each row (i.e. the number of images per row, hence the name). However, please note that only the default four images or less is allowed, and all the perrows being used to create five-image-wide galleries in mainspace pages should be removed (which is most of the perrows). - Walkazo 10:12, 7 August 2011 (EDT)

My Own Proposal
How do I make proposals? I see the "How To" but there isn't what I do, as: I write where? Goomblob 11:24, 11 August 2011 (EDT)
- In the sections further down the Proposals page. Like, if you want to add something new to the wiki, you'd put the proposal in the "New Features" section. The best way to learn how to make your own proposals is by watching how other people do it. - Walkazo 17:59, 11 August 2011 (EDT)

Coin Block Confusion
I've been looking through my Super Mario Galaxy 2 manual and noticed something. The manual says this about ? Blocks: Jump and hit this from below to release coins or Star Bits. Super Mario Galaxy 2 only has ? Blocks that give multiple star bits or multiple coins. This wiki says that any block with multiple coins (even if it has a ? on it) is not called a ? Block, but a Coin Block. So according to the Super Mario Galaxy 2 manual its a ? Block, but according to the mariowiki its a coin Block. Shouldn't we make info the manual and the article agree?
- There's no issue here. "A Coin Block is a Block that gives the player multiple coins. Coin Blocks can be either Brick Blocks or ? Blocks." Mario4Ever (talk)
But the manual calls them ? Blocks not Coin Blocks, just sayin'... -IGGY7735
- Right, but according to the Coin Block article, a Coin Block is any type of Block that can yield coins.
SM3DL's Rectangular blocks give multiple coins but can only be hit once and some give multiple coins and an item, does this mean that they are coin blocks?

How do you sign an edit?
— The preceding unsigned comment was added by BulletBill (talk).
- Well, you can always do this: username, where "username" is, of course, your username. Alternatively, after you create a signature, you can sign comments using three or four tildes (~), the only difference between the options being that using four creates a time-stamp (prints the date and time when you signed the comment). - Your edits will be reverted if they are nonconstructive. Also, you are autoconfirmed, so you should be able to edit your user page; just click the red link to it and click "Create" or "edit" up there if that doesn't take you to an editing box. Bop1996 (Talk)
I have a question
Hello, i've read the Autoconfirmed Users page, and it says that an autoconfirmed user can create new pages. How I can make a new page? Thanks. Danimario9

Can we use images from Youtube?
Can we take a screenshot of a image on youtube by pressing Printscreen? SuperPaperFan
- As far as I know, uploading YouTube screenshots is legal, as long as it's treated like any other screenshot. You'd probably have to add the video as a source in aboutfile if you were to do that. Also, there is a downside in that the quality of the image is limited by the quality of the video, so it's a good idea to get images from videos of the highest quality possible. So yes, it would be allowed under normal circumstances I believe. Bop1996 (Talk)

I'm a bit confused about minor edits and such
I've been editing this wiki lately, and I mark every edit I make a minor. One or two of my edits added about a paragraph to that area. Would that still count as a minor edit? If not,how do I mark it as,well...something higher then minor? Thanks for your future response, and I'll be careful on my next edits. MarioMarioWiki (talk)

well next time don't come under an alternate account and insult everyone. I can see hostnames. You were banned for a reason, and some others agreed on it, not just me. please just get over it and come back in two weeks with hopefully your lesson learned. - Smasher
first time fine. second time you just did that for no reason. i said hi and i talked with n64dude and BOom. i'm banned again. care to explain cause iwe can get him if you like. and isn't in the rules not to cuss. and you did that like 6 times last night?
— The preceding unsigned comment was added by Kamek126 (talk).
No ban evading. When you're banned, you can't come back on under any circumstances. Not even under a different hostname, or if it's on "accident".
And trolling people and calling them failures or whatever you did is not cool.
the six times was just me failing at setting the time limit. xP - Smasher
- (In addition to Smasher--silly edit conflicts D:< ) Actually, it is in the rules. Here is it: "Swearing is allowed, but in moderation. If you overdo it, then it will count as spam." You were banned for sockpuppeting and flaming. The 2nd time you were banned is because YOU'RE BANNED. YOU'RE NOT GOING TO BE ALLOWED BACK IN IF YOU MANAGE TO SNEAK IN. That's ban evasion. It's only for 2 weeks, and you're lucky it's only that. Re-read the rules, since it's obvious that you don't know them, wait the two weeks, and stop complaining on here. This is not the place for it. If you have a problem, you can query me or another op in chat.- Hypnotoad (T|C)
wiki rules
I disagree with the rule that you may not delete your own post on a talk page. Where should I discuss this? --Paper Mario Kart 12:35, 25 March 2012 (EDT)
- Nowhere. It's non-negotiable. Talk page discussions must be left intact, otherwise, conversations lose their integrity and user histories can become warped, and this simply cannot be allowed. The rule will not be changed anytime soon, so there is no point trying to discuss it. - Walkazo 16:48, 25 March 2012 (EDT)
TPP changes
I recently passed a talk page proposal to split an article but several days later it still hasn't been split. Is it my job to split the article or an administrators? Commander Code-8
- Rule 11: "The original proposer must take action accordingly if the outcome of the proposal dictates it." If you need help (i.e. because it's protected or involves complicated coding or something), you can ask, but it's ultimately the proposer's responsibility to follow through with the changes. - Walkazo 23:28, 3 April 2012 (EDT)

Inappropriate Edit Summaries
Is it possible to remove an edit summary if it is highly inappropriate and offensive? - Usually, you must enclose the article or page name in square brackets. Example:
Mario
would appear as Mario. I hope this answered your question. If not, please message me here or on my talk page.
Help with reuploading
Whenever I try to reupload a preexisting image on the wiki it changes what the file looks like in thumbnails but in galleries and the edit history on the image's page the picture doesn't change. Can someone help out? Commander Code-8
- It usually takes a few minutes for the system to change all of the re-uploaded images on the wiki. Wait a while, and then check the image locations again.
What about beta subjects?
I'm new here and I was wondering if it would be a good idea to make pages based on beta elements, such as beta characters, locations, etc. What do you think?--Kingskid 18:12, 21 May 2012 (EDT)
- Beta elements are compiled on overall game-specific pages, such as this one, for SMB3. See MarioWiki:Beta Elements for more info. - Walkazo 22:24, 21 May 2012 (EDT)
Userboxtop
I tried to make a userbox tower and even though the userbox code worked, the resut of the userboxtop code (Yoshidino's userbox tower) never came! Why??? What should I do? --Yoshidino 03:15, 4 June 2012 (EDT)
- Follow the directions on MarioWiki:Userboxes, rather than trying to use the raw coding presented on the Help page. In other words, add
userboxtop
, followed by your userbox (formatted as you have it now), withuserboxbottom
at the bottom. If you're still unsure, look at how other people set up their towers to get an idea of how you can do it too. - Walkazo 19:18, 4 June 2012 (EDT)
Color Signature
How do I put in color and change the font in my signatures? EmperorLuigi115 (talk)
Okay, I found out that if I want it dark green, I put in /style fg3color, but where in my signature do I put in /style fg3color, and how do I change the font? EmperorLuigi115 (talk)
- The easiest way to figure out how to code your signature is to find someone else with a signature using different colours and fonts and seeing how they coded it (using the "view source" tab on their sig subpage). Also, remember to create your own sig subpage, since posting the raw coding straight onto the page, like you've done here, is against the rules. - Walkazo 15:21, 11 June 2012 (EDT)
So how do I get to someone else's sig subpage? User:EmperorLuigi115

userbox copy
If I see a userbox on somebody else's page and like it, how should I copy that userbox onto my page?--Yoshidino 01:03, 17 June 2012 (EDT)
- Click on the "view source" tab (which appears instead of the "edit" tab when you look at other user's pages, and protected pages) and find the coding that pertains to the userbox you want in the "editing" window. Copy it and paste it onto your page. Just don't copy boxes about being someone's friend or whatever, since you need permission for that kinda thing. - Walkazo 19:44, 17 June 2012 (EDT)
My user page
I'm new, and I need to know how to create my user page. --Myforce2001 15:44, 20 June 2012 (EDT)
- You can't create a userpage unless you're autoconfirmed. To become autoconfirmed, you'll have to make at least 10 edits and be on the wiki for at least a week. Since you just joined today, you'll have to wait. ! 15:49, 20 June 2012 (EDT)
Verifying edits
Why when I try to mark an edit as verified, it gives me an error saying "The action was not performed for security"? --NewSMBU (talk) 05:45, 30 June 2012 (EDT)

New Page
How do I create a new page?(EX:A a blank page to put my sig in) & How do I make a graph? Peteyking
- First of all, new queries go on the bottom of the page. Second, your signature goes on a subpage of your userpage. In this case, you would type User:Peteyking64/sig into the search bar and then select the "Create this page" option. Be sure that your signature adheres to these guidelines. Regarding the second part of your question, for what do you plan on using a graph? Mario4Ever (talk)
Question?????
How do I create a blank page like, for my shop? How do I create a graph? Peteyking
- You don't: that kinda user subpage is not allowed. We don't have graphing software on the wiki: make the graph on your computer and upload it as an image (if it's for yourself, it would be a Personal Image. Also, please create a proper sig (click on this red link to start one: User:Peteyking64/sig), rather than posting the raw coding for the images, and remember that sigs can only be 35px high: the images have to be smaller. Finally, if you use a moving gif, you can't have a second image. You can see MarioWiki:Signatures for more information. - Walkazo 20:02, 8 July 2012 (EDT)
Warinig
How is a warning different from a reminder? Bspald95 01:23, 9 July 2012 (EDT)

Editing a page and seeing what others have done is a much more efficient way to learn how to use wiki syntax, and out Manual of Style explains a lot of the basics as well, as do various other help and policy pages. - Walkazo 19:26, 20 July 2012 (EDT)
Reference
How do you put in a reference? EmperorLuigi115
- Find a page that has references, and copy what was done there. Basically, you put

after the information you have a reference for, then at the bottom of the page you put a "==References==" section and type<references/>
. If you have one reference that is used mutliple times, you type
the first time, and after that you only need to type
, without even needing the closing ref tag. Most references are to websites, and should be formatted along the lines of this:
- just replace the fake website, info and date, and you're good to go. But again, the best way to figure out stuff like this is to just mimic what other users have already done around the wiki. - Walkazo 14:35, 4 August 2012 (EDT)
Uploading a picture
Hi! I'm new to this wiki. I have a question... do I have to be an 'automaticly confirmed user' to upload pictures? Thanks for any help!--AnotherCastle (talk) 00:41, 5 August 2012 (EDT)
- Hello, and welcome to the wiki. Unfortunately, you must become Autoconfirmed to upload files, create pages, move pages and edit semi-protected pages. Users are made Autoconfirmed by the system when that user has made ten edits and has been a member for at least one week. It looks to me like you have currently only made three edits. Make another seven edits, wait until the 12th of August, and then you will be able to upload your files. Also when you do, make sure the files themselves follow all the rules that are outlined in MarioWiki:Image use policy. I hope this helped you.
Sprites
Can somebody upload all the mugshots from the Mario Party games for all the playable characters, please? Even the spaces from Mario Party 4, 5, and 8? And the Dice Block textures from Mario Party 1-9? I don't mean to say that, but can someone do that, please? To extend the Wiki a little?
Thanks, from TheWolfBunny

Question2
I would like to know the name of the Mario game where it had the smiley face similar to the Koopa Clown Car that rolls away and loses it's eyes at the end? I know it's in a castle and that Mario has to pass blue doors and enter a red door to get to it. Anyone know which game it is?
— The preceding unsigned comment was added by VideoGameLover7 (talk).
- Super Mario World
- Sequel and follow would share the exact definition.
signature
How do you make your signature look better by adding colored text or pictures? Same thing with unsigned templates. User:JohnRoberts/sig
- Please refer to Help:Signature for details on colored text. You are able to add a picture by typing the following;
35px
Just replace the "exactfilename" with the name of the image you wish to use. You cannot have more than two images in a sig (but only one moving image). You may upload a personal image for you sig that is not already been uploaded here, but you must tag it withJohnRoberts
. To answer your other question, you cannot customise Template:Unsigned. It is used to indentify the writer of an unsigned message, and remember you are only allowed one signature subpage. Please see the signature policy for the guidelines. I hope this helped you. If you have any further questions, please message me on my talk page or message us again here.
What do I do now??
Dear MarioWiki Staff, I've come to love the chat room on this wiki, and I spend hours on it each day. Me and some of the others there like to use the bit where you can type "/me" and make it sound like you're doing something. But one of the members, (bulbasaur) is getting crabby with me, because I like to use food in my sentences. I can't help it that I like to cook and eat, and we like to pretend to fight, when we type those sentences. My sentences would revolve around me eating, or feeding people food items, or even using food in offense. I don't see anything about it that breaks the rules, and I think bulbasaur is being unfair, because just today, he/she banned me from the chat room for 2 weeks, just because they were getting annoyed. Anton{politoed} has also been getting on me about it too, and I think they are taking it too far. I think it's harsh and unfair. Please talk to bulbasaur, and say that I have the right to talk about whatever I feel like in the chat room, (as long as it's not inappropriate). So my question is, could you please tell him that he's being ridiculous?
Thanks!
Sincerely,
Tanookimario226
TAKE THAT, BULBASAUR!!!!
You may have the power to ban people, but when I'm done with you, you'll be wishing you hadn't! Hmph!

- You weren't banned for talking about food though. You were banned for continuously talking about nothing but food even after many different users expressed that they were uncomfortable with it and asked you politely to stop. Also, I wasn't even the one who banned you (I'm bulbasaur). - 2257(Talk) 20:30, 2 November 2012 (EDT)
Hide edits
Hello. Is there any way to permanently hide my edits from Recent Changes? It gets annoying to hide it again every time I refresh the page.
Shokora (talk · edits) 04:50, 18 November 2012 (EST)
- The only way I think this would be possible would be by adding
&hidemyself=1
to the URL each time you load Special:RecentChanges, so if you add this page to your bookmarks you'll automatically hide your edits when you open it. There would still be other methods, eg. writing a userscript to automatically redirect you with your edits hidden, but that's more complicated. Lapu (talk) 05:04, 18 November 2012 (EST)
Hey, thanks Lapu! I've added it to my bookmarks, and maybe I should get round to writing a monobook. Oh, and welcome to the wiki!
