The level is volcanic yet mushroom platforms strangely thrive here. Some of them conceal Bandits, who'll occasionally glance around the corner as they wait for an ambush. Yoshi will have to watch out for these foes, as they lurk all around the area, and could steal Baby Mario.
Yoshi must first get past a couple of Bandits and a Boo Guy, above which is a Winged Cloud containing Stars. Below a nearby bucket is a Coin Bandit carrying the first Red Coin, with two more following shortly thereafter. Lava begins to appear, as do Lava Bubbles. After Yoshi passes an Egg Block, he encounters more Bandits, including one dropped from a balloon and another being a Coin Bandit carrying a Red Coin. There are two Winged Clouds nearby - the ones on the left and right contain a Special Flower and more Stars, respectively. After crossing more lava using Mushroom Platforms, Yoshi finds another Egg Block. The grey material here can be broken to get to a Special Flower and some Zeus Guys attempting to break through. Following this are two Flatbed Ferries, one horizontally moving and one vertically moving, above lava. A Fly Guy appears between them, carrying an extra life. After another Winged Cloud containing Stars, Yoshi moves on to the next section.

The level starts with a few hiding Bandits and Ghost Guys. Then there is a Coin Bandit with the first red coin and a ? Cloud. Then there is some lava, more Bandits, and Podoboos. There are also several red coins in this area. Past an egg block are a few Bandits hitching rides on balloons. Then there a few more ? Clouds and a Coin Bandit. Past that is more lava and some Podoboos. Then there is an egg block and some Zues Guys, along with a flower. After that, there are some Flatbed Ferries and a Fly Guy. At the end there is a ? Cloud.
The next area begins with a Middle Ring. Little Skull Mousers and Bandits lurk nearby, some hiding. Several coins, including Red Coins, an Egg Block, and a Special Flower all appear in the area. A Winged Cloud containing Stars is concealed behind a thin layer of grey wall. Up ahead, over a slope, is a Baseball Boy which bats a Chomp Rock down toward Yoshi. After an Egg Block and a Bandit held from a balloon, Yoshi encounters Wild Ptooie Piranhas and more lava bubbles. The fourth Special Flower is contained in a Winged Cloud in between them. Toward the end are various enemies, including Baseball Boys, Wild Ptooie Piranhas, and Little Skull Mouser.
The next room includes some Little Skull Mousers and the Middle Ring. Then there are some more hiding Bandits. After that there are some Baseball Boys and more Bandits on balloons. Then there are some Ptooies and more Podoboos. Then there are some more Baseball Boys, Ptooies and a Toadie. After a small maze, some Baseball Boys, a Ptooie and a Little Skull Mouser the room  ends with a few red coins.

The next room is a giant spike pit with the middle ring and a Super Star. The room is filled with enemies that can hinder Baby Mario's progress. After the giant spike pit there is the goal ring.
The final appear has a floor of spikes. A Middle Ring and a Super Star are provided. Superstar Mario must collect Stars and run across the spikes all the way to the end, avoiding enemies, collecting coins, and obtaining the fifth and final Special Flower before reaching the Goal Ring.

The Cave Of The Bandits is the second level of World 6 in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3. As the name suggests, this level takes place in a cave filled with Bandits, and is the only level to feature more than one Coin Bandit. This level's playable Yoshi is the pink Yoshi.

Overview[edit]

The level has a volcanic theme. Mushroom Platforms can be found throughout the stage. Some of them conceal Bandits, who occasionally glance around the corner as they wait for an ambush. Yoshi has to watch out for these foes, as they lurk all around the area, and may snatch Baby Mario from him subtly.

The final appear has a floor of spikes. A Middle Ring and a Super Star are provided. Superstar Mario must collect Stars and run across the spikes all the way to the end, avoiding enemies, collecting coins, and obtaining the fifth and final Special Flower before reaching the Goal Ring.
