Earth Quake is an item found in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. In battle, the item causes the ground to shake, dealing five damage to one ground enemy. It, of course, won't effect airborn enemies. However, an Earth Quake will flip over any enemies with shells (Koopas, Buzzy Beetles, Spinys, etc.).
