The player starts out on the roof of the castle next to a Warp Pipe that leads inside the castle. Inside the castle is an area with several Flatbed Ferries which are above a pit of lava. At the end of this section is a Middle Ring and a Warp Pipe that leads to the next area.

When the player enters the level, Blue Yoshi will be on the roof of the castle, and Yoshi will go in through a Warp Pipe, right when the Player enters they will find a pit of lava, with some Flatbed Ferries and Podoboos, along with sinking logs. On the far side, Blue Yoshi will find a warp pipe going upwards, after going through Blue Yoshi will be outside again, and it will need to use Arrow Lifts to continue up. The player will then find a dark tunnel through a warp pipe, and the player will need to go through a long area to get a key out of a Pot. After that Blue Yoshi can go the other way in the dark tunnel. The Player will then encounter large spiked blocks being held by chains, the player needs to hit the wheel holding it, to make it go up so the player can get through. After this the Yoshi will get to a door that needs a key.
In the next area, is an spinning wheel and a row of thorns. At the top of the room is a Warp Pipe that leads to a secret area that has a Winged Cloud which contains a morph bubble that will transform Yoshi into the Train. Near the beginning of the area is another Warp Pipe that leads to the next area.

After going through, Blue Yoshi will find another dark tunnel with some moving platforms. On the far side, the player will need to use Arrow Lifts to go up. After this the player needs to go through a hidden door, they will the find themselves in a jungle-like area, full of Bandits, where the player needs to find a Pot with the key in it to proceed. The player will then be in a large room with lots of pots, and the boss door.
The next area is a sewer with several paths. The path at the bottom left of the room leads to a room with several Boo Guys on the ceiling that will try to drop a bomb on the player. At the end of the room is a pot that contains a key. The path to the right leads to another room with several spiked objects which must be risen so the player can get past them. After this is a room with a locked door.

This is the only castle in the game to not feature the "Room Before Boss" song.
The next room also contains several paths, the path on the top left leads to a Middle Ring. The path on the bottom right has a door that leads to a room with two Burts, if the Burts are defeated a Special Flower will appear. The path on the top right leads to another room that contains the spiked objects. At the end of the room is a spinning wheel which must be used to get through the rest of the room. At the top of the room is a thorn that needs to be destroyed to reveal a door to the next area.

The next room contains lots of Bandits and pots, one of which contains a key to a locked door, the pot with the key is to the left of the Middle Ring. The next room contains another Middle Ring, some more pots and the door to the boss.
Roger the Potted Ghost starts out as a normal flower pot, but then Kamek comes and transforms him into a giant Ghost to try to stop Blue Yoshi. To defeat Roger the Potted Ghost, Blue Yoshi needs to push him off the edge of the platform, however this is made harder by two Shy Guys on the other side, pushing him towards the Player. During the fight he will also spit blue flames at the player, and the player will have to lunge at him, in an attempt to push him away.
