Mario rescues baby Tuxie.

Tuxie is a baby Penguin that was lost on top of Cool, Cool Mountain in Super Mario 64. She needed to be reunited with her mother. Mario picked Tuxie up and carried her down the mountain to where her mother was located. For finding her baby, the mother penguin awarded Mario with a Power Star.

Tuxie can easily be confused with another baby penguin who is also located on Cool, Cool Mountain. If Mario delivers this lookalike to the mother, she tells him that it looks nothing like her child (she says elsewhere that her child has her beak).

A baby penguin who may be a reference to Tuxie appears in Super Mario Galaxy in the second mission of the Sea Slide Galaxy.
