The player is standing between four plants; one demands water, while another demands bug spray. The player gives them what they need, and the game starts.

Gameplay
The player has to either use bug spray or water on each sunflower, depending on if its speech bubble depicts a bug or a water droplet, respectively. If the player does not fulfill the sunflower's need immediately, the bubble becomes spiky, indicating that the sunflower is more urgent. If the player fulfills the need of a sunflower, they get 30 points, but if the bubble becomes spiky, it is 20 points instead. If the player either ignores the sunflower or applies bug spray or water to the incorrect one, that sunflower loses health; if it loses health twice, the player loses.
The player attempts to keep the four sunflowers healthy by watering and bug-spraying them to earn points. When a speech bubble pops up near a sunflower, the flower needs something quickly so the player can make it healthy depending on if the flower is thirsty or has bugs. If the player does not spray or water a plant, the bubble changes into a spiky bubble, meaning that the plant badly needs something to make it healthy. Making a plant healthy when a speech bubble pops up gives 30 points, while doing so with a spiky bubble gives 20 points. If the player ignores the sunflower or accidentally gives the wrong thing to a sunflower, the plant loses health. If a sunflower loses health twice, the player loses.

In the Shroom City mode, the player must earn at least 500 points in 30 seconds to win. In Mini-Game Attack, the player must earn at least 1,000 points in 60 seconds to clear the minigame.
The goal in Shroom City mode is to earn at least 500 points in 30 seconds to win. In Mini-Game Attack, the goal is earning at least 1,000 points within 60 seconds.
