♥s[1] are the collectible points in Yoshi's Story. They are symbols of happiness and are essential to improving a Yoshi's mood. They also recover petals on a Yoshi's Smile Meter. ♥s are earned by eating fruit, defeating enemies, and collecting coins. Eating a Lucky Fruit earns the player eight ♥s, while eating a Favorite Fruit earns them three ♥s.
