After initially clearing the [[Pit of 100 Trials (Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door)|Pit of 100 Trials]], defeating [[Bonetail]] and making the [[Whacka]] at [[Keelhaul Key]] disappear, it reappears at the pit replacing Bonetail as the final boss on the 100th level. Mario receives the Gold Whacka Bump as a commemoration of the battle upon defeating the Whacka. Unlike normal [[Whacka Bump]]s, Mario cannot eat it and it serves purely as a visual reward for the completion of the trials a second time.

The Gold Whacka Bump is a special item exclusive to the Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door remake on the Nintendo Switch.
