Abandon Ship is a 4-Player minigame featured in Mario Party 2.

Overview[edit]

The minigame opens with the four players on a large ship that crashes into a boulder (with Bowser's face carved into it), causing them to grab onto one of the ship's masts.

The players must quickly climb the masts to get to the top of the ship as it sinks into the water, which is done by repeatedly tapping A Button. Players will occasionally need to move left and right to avoid wooden bars on the mast, but may also use this technique to collect Coins. Sometimes, large Cheep-cheeps will jump out of the water, stunning any characters they hit while also pushing them down the poles. If the water catches up to a player, they will be eliminated and carried away by a Bloober. The first player to reach the top of their mast wins the minigame. If nobody does so, the minigame ends in a draw.

In the Mini-Game Coaster, the human player must be the first to reach the top of their mast to win.

The minigame can be purchased from Woody for 150 Coins.

Controls[edit]
