Deep Sea Divers is a 2-vs-2 Coin-collecting minigame in Mario Party.

Overview

Deep Sea Divers is similar to Treasure Divers, but done in a 2-vs-2 format. One player on each team swims deep underwater, gets a Treasure Chest, and returns to the surface with it. Meanwhile, the other player of a team moves the boat to help reel their teammate back. If the player underwater is not reeled successfully, they drop the chest. The largest Treasure Chest, which is at the very bottom, contains 10 Coins and requires both players to reel it in.

Deep Sea Divers costs 300 Coins to buy at the Mini-Game House when it becomes available.

• Game Rules – "Team up to help raise the treasure chests at the bottom of the ocean. Press to swim and rotate to reel in."
• Game Rules (Mini-Game Island) – "Cooperate with your partner to raise the chests beneath the sea. Get 15 or more Coins to clear the game."
• Advice – "It's impossible to bring up larger treasure chests by yourself. Two people must cooperate to bring it^[sic] up."

Notes

• Deep Sea Divers is one of the minigames infamous for giving players injuries on their hands, besides Pedal Power, Paddle Battle, Cast Aways, and Tug o' War. The Mario Party Superstars version has a disclaimer on the rules screen that warns players to not turn the stick with their palm to avoid hand injury and stick damage. A similar warning is shown in the Nintendo 64 - Nintendo Switch Online re-release of Mario Party and advises the same thing.
