The mini-game takes place in a forest where a group of six small blue [[mushrooms]] occupy around the single large orange mushroom. There are four players that are equally on the circular path, staring at the floating [[Treasure Chest]]. Forest background can be heard, and then the mini-game starts.

The objective of the mini-game is to be the first player in the mini-game to reach for the treasure chest in 30 seconds. The mini-game starts with four players circling the group of blue mushrooms when the music plays. The music continues to play until it abruptly stops.  


Players then have an opportunity to reach the treasure chest through a variety of ways. Players can attack by [[punch]]ing, ground-pounding, or jumping. Players can also use one blue mushroom to reach the treasure chest more easily, or they can simply run towards the center and reach it. It is also possible to jump on the red mushroom without using the blue platforms by executing a timed jump.

Musical Mushroom is a 4-Player minigame in Mario Party.

Overview[edit]

The gameplay and minigame title are based on musical chairs. Players compete to get the Treasure Chest on an orange mushroom within 30 seconds.[1] They move around six blue mushrooms while the music plays before it stops abruptly. Players can reach the Treasure Chest by either jumping, punching, or hip-dropping. A player can get to the chest directly by doing a timed jump. Whoever reaches the chest wins.
