A Grab Bag is a very rare item that costs 25 coins in Mario Party DS. It can be found during the last turns of a 20, 25 or 30-turn game or can be found in an item block. When a player uses it, it takes away all their items, but gives them a Star Pipe, Block Sensor and Triple Dice Set, similar to an Item Bag in Mario Party 3 and Mario Party 4, but it has only three specified items, unlike an item bag, which contains three random items.

A Grab Bag from Mario Party DS

A Grab Bag is an item in Mario Party DS. It can be bought at the item shop during the Final 5 Frenzy for 25 coins, though it may sometimes appear in a Hidden Block. The Grab Bag works like an Item Bag in earlier games of the Mario Party series, but removes the player's current items specifically to give them a Star Pipe, a Block Sensor, and a Triple Dice Set. The Grab Bag is never bought by computer players.[citation needed]
