Purple Coin Beach Dash is the third mission of the Starshine Beach Galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy 2. This mission can only be played if the Comet Medal was collected during the first mission and while a Prankster Comet is in orbit.
Mission[edit]
The Purple Comet must be in orbit in order to select this mission. The player will land on the Starshine Beach Planet. They should then proceed forward and crack open the Yoshi egg. With the help of the Dash Pepper, the player and Yoshi must collect 100 of the 140 Purple Coins within 35 seconds, the shortest time limit of any timed Purple Coin mission.

- It is possible to collect all 140 Purple Coins in this mission, as the timer will stop once the Power Star appears, allowing the player to go back and collect any coins they missed.
