Silver Stars in the Purple Pond is the hidden third mission of the Cloudy Court Galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy 2. This mission requires feeding a Hungry Luma.
Mission[edit]
Replaying the Head in the Clouds mission, the player needs to make their way to the planet with the Checkpoint Flag while collecting as many Coins as they can. Next to the Checkpoint Flag is a Hungry Luma who asks to be fed 30 Coins. If his conditions are met, he will transform into a new planet and a Pink Launch Star will appear to send the player to it.
On this new planet, there are many cloud platforms positioned over a pool of dark matter that will cause the player to lose a life if they fall in. Placed on the cloud platforms are five Silver Stars the player needs to collect while maintaining their Cloud Flower power-up, as losing it will cause the player to fall through the platforms and into the dark matter. Additionally, Cosmic Clones will appear each time a Silver Star is collected. If the player successfully collects all five Silver Stars, the Cosmic Clones will disappear and the Power Star will appear back at the planet's start.
