Drive for Show (Hot Shot in One in the British English version) is a General minigame from Mario Party: Island Tour. The American name comes from a quote by the late golfer Bobby Locke, renowned for his putting abilities, who said, "You drive for show, but putt for dough." The British name comes from both "hot shot" and "hole-in-one."
Introduction[edit]
Blue Toad shows how to play by hitting a ball at a 20-point target.
Gameplay[edit]
The game is played by sliding across the touch screen in order to hit a golf ball at a target. Sliding different ways will hit different targets, which come in -5-, 5-, 10- and 20-point varieties. The player with the most points after 30 seconds wins.
