After getting off the cart, the player has to go to a pipe that leads underground. Then the player has to go down. There are two ways to go. High-Speed Cart Race is the second level in World 4 in Yoshi's Island DS. It introduces carts that the Yoshis can ride in. This level's playable Yoshi is the Pink Yoshi.
Layout[edit]
The level starts with a cart that Pink Yoshi has to ride on. The Tap-Taps and Shy Guys on the track can be defeated by hitting them with the cart. Then, the player has to get off the cart and continue. In the next area, Tap-Taps and Shy Guys are blocking the cart. After getting off the cart, the player has to go to a pipe that leads underground. Then the player has to go down. There are two ways to go. If the player goes right there is a cart with a Red Coin. If the player goes left there is a Bandit and Gusties blocking the way. The next area is back outside. That area has a Para-Koopa and later Tap-Taps. The next area has a track with slopes, and the cart falls. If the player jumps at the right time, they can get the character coin. Below that there are two carts with Tap-Taps and Shy Guys and the track. After that, the player can access the goal roulette.
