Bumper Thumper (Dodge and Drive in the British English version) is one of the General minigames from Mario Party: Island Tour. Its American English name is a reference to bumper cars, while the British English name is a reference to an alternate term for the same ride, dodgems.
Introduction[edit]
Players boost to the center of the screen and bump others three times.
Gameplay[edit]
The minigame takes place on a tall tower in an amusement park. The object is to be the last player on the tower by pushing the others off the edge using their hovercrafts. However, the platform is initially protected by walls around it. The sixteen sections of the wall will lower by half if they are hit, and will disappear if they are hit a second time, enabling losses.
Controls[edit]
- – Move
In-game text[edit]
- Rules – American English "Fire your Boosters, and bump the other players off the platform."
- Rules – British English "Bash the other players' hovercrafts to knock them over the edge."
