Zip-Zaps[1] are electrical enemies with small violet faces and yellow spikes that were introduced in Super Mario Bros. Wonder. They are exclusively in the level Cruising with Linking Lifts and are seen periodically jumping upwards from clouds, similar to Lava Bubbles. The enemy can only be defeated with a bubble in Bubble form. Other attacks have no effect, and Zip-Zaps hurt the player on contact. Their body is said to be a million volts, and their English name alludes to their zippy, zappy nature.[1]
