Gold Hearts as they appear in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze

Gold Hearts are items in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. They are created with Dixie Kong's Kong POW ability. When collected, Gold Hearts turn one of the player's Hearts gold. Should the player's character take damage, the heart will revert to its original red color instead of disappearing, giving the character an extra hit point. However, this property does not last for the whole level, unlike Heart Boosts.
