The Switching Rooms[1] [2] are a set of four doors appearing in Peach's Castle. 3 of these doors are marked with the letter of a respective corresponding playable character and opening them allows the player to switch characters. These doors are accessible by opening the rightmost 1★ Door on the second floor that leads into Princess Peach's room. The switching rooms are not able to be opened without the proper keys necessary to unlock them. The keys for unlocking Mario, Luigi, and Wario are found in Goomboss Battle, Chief Chilly Challenge, and Big Boo Battle respectively. The key required to unlock the empty room[3] (white door to the right of Wario's switching room) is obtained by catching all 8 Glowing rabbits. Opening the door to the empty room grants Mario a secret star.
