Variant of Galoomba

Hone Kuribon is one of the hypothetical new enemies that Mario encounters in Super Mario-kun volume 1, in a chapter dedicated to the possibilities in a "Super Mario Bros. 5". It is a skeletal version of the Galoomba, and unlike Galoombas, they leave behind the Hone upon being stomped.

Mario and his friends encounter it after deciding to help Isshī as the first new enemy they encounter. Mario defeats the Hone Kuribon by stomping it, and collects the Hone it left behind, transforming into Skeleton Mario for three minutes.
