Aside from the Super Mario and Donkey Kong ports, Atari, Inc. is also well known for games like Pong. Atari, Inc. went defunct in 1992. Despite becoming defunct, two successor companies under the Atari brand name that remained extant. Those companies were, Atari Corporation and Atari Games, which both later went defunct in 1996[1] and 2003 respectively.
