'''Chief Chilly''' is a large [[Big Bully]] made of ice and apparently the leader of all Bullies. He first appeared in ''[[Super Mario 64 DS]]'', the [[Nintendo DS]] remake of ''[[Super Mario 64]]''. Like the other bosses of ''Super Mario 64 DS'', Chief Chilly takes great pride in his mustache. Bowser hired him to trap the heroes of the game along with his other minions.
'''Chief Chilly''' is a boss resembling a larger version of the [[Chill Bully]]. He is much larger than an average [[Bully]] and has a spiked mustache and a crown of ice crystals.


Presumably at the beginning of the game he ambushed [[Mario]], [[Luigi]], and [[Wario]], along with [[Bowser]], [[Goomboss]], and [[King Boo]], and was put under the control of Wario or he chose to take Wario as he made fun of his mustache of which both look like each other. Then Luigi came to Wario's rescue and was forced to battle the monstrosity. Despite being the weakest of the four he managed to beat him and push him off the iceberg and the key was given to Luigi. He went home to restyle his mustache and to get a rematch someday.

In ''[[Super Mario 64 DS]]'', his first appearance, Chief Chilly is located at the end of the stage [[Chief Chilly Challenge]], which can be accessed by [[Luigi]] only, and holds the [[Wario Key]]. Once Chief Chilly's arena is entered, he states that he locked [[Wario]] up because he was rude and mocking his mustache. Chief Chilly is battled similarly to a [[Big Bully]], since the player character has to use attacks (including Luigi's [[Backward Somersault]]) to knock Chief Chilly into the [[freezing water]]. Occasionally, Chief Chilly releases [[coin]]s when he is hit. Every time the player manages to knock him off the edge, Chief Chilly makes the stage smaller and then hops to the middle of the stage. If the player is standing in the middle of the stage, they take damage. On the third attempt of pushing Chief Chilly off the ledge, he manages to stay on the ledge while off-balance. Hitting him once more inflicts the final blow, but failure to do this soon enough results in Chief Chilly regaining his balance. After falling into the water a third time, Chief Chilly drops the Wario Key.


In ''[[Mario Kart DS]]'', Luigi must battle Chief Chilly in Level 6 of Mission Mode. Like the battle with [[Big Bully]], Luigi must push Chief Chilly off his platform and into the water. However, Chief Chilly must be pushed off three times instead of one, and becomes stronger and trickier after each time he is pushed off. In fact, after the second time he falls in the water, Chief Chilly will be able to [[Jump]] over Luigi's boost attacks. To defeat him, Luigi had to attack Chief Chilly from the side, where the boss couldn't see him. Its possible that this could've been his rematch but it is not known if the Mario Kart games are in continuity or at least the mission mode.
Although [[Yoshi]] cannot face Chief Chilly through normal means, if the player uses [[List of Super Mario 64 DS glitches#Fall through the stairs|a glitch]] to bypass the mirror and get into Chief Chilly Challenge, Yoshi can face and defeat Chief Chilly (although Yoshi cannot [[punch]], [[dive]] forward, or perform most [[kick]]s, [[Ground Pound|ground-pound]]ing and [[crouch]]ing, [[Slide Kick|slide-kick]]ing, and [[Sweep Kick|sweep-kick]]ing still work against him). It is possible that he is [[Chill Bully]]'s father or at least was a Chill Bully at some point. That would make Chill Bully a sub species of regular bullies. He might even be Chill Bully since they both have same name, Chief is just called Chilly. Although Chill Bully appears in the game and since Chief Chilly was around before the game that theory is wronged.

Chief Chilly is a boss resembling a larger version of the Chill Bully. He is much larger than an average Bully and has a spiked mustache and a crown of ice crystals.

In Super Mario 64 DS, his first appearance, Chief Chilly is located at the end of the stage Chief Chilly Challenge, which can be accessed by Luigi only, and holds the Wario Key. Once Chief Chilly's arena is entered, he states that he locked Wario up because he was rude and mocking his mustache. Chief Chilly is battled similarly to a Big Bully, since the player character has to use attacks (including Luigi's Backward Somersault) to knock Chief Chilly into the freezing water.
