Three Mini Marios walking on Magnet Ground in Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars

Magnet Ground[1] (also known as Magnet Blocks[2] or simply Magnets[3][4]) is a magnetic surface that Mini Mario and other Mini toys can walk on, appearing only in the Mario vs. Donkey Kong series. Magnet Ground allows Minis to walk on walls and upside down.

In Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis, Magnet Ground appears in Magnet Mania as a green metal surface with silver areas. In Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again!, it also appears in Magnet Mania. In Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem!, Magnet Ground is redesigned as a completely silver surface with studs, and appears in Cosmic Adventure, Rainbow Summit, and Secret Storage. In Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars, it is introduced in Orbiting Observatory and continues to appear in subsequent Bonus levels.

Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis features Magnetic Blocks, which function very similarly to Pink Blocks, but with the magnetic properties of Magnet Ground. Magnet Rods are also magnetic objects with similar properties to Magnet Ground.
