Papa Painguins are enemies that appear in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and its Nintendo Switch port. They are penguin-like members of the Snowmads which wear green trousers, a viking helmet, and carry a spear resembling a fish skeleton.

All sides of a Papa Painguin are protected from direct attacks, with its weapon having sharp appendages both in the front and rear, and its helmet sporting upward horns. If the Kongs try jumping, walking, or rolling into the enemy in this state, they lose a heart from their health meter. However, Papa Painguins can be temporarily stunned with a Ground Pound, causing them to drop their weapon, then defeated with a Roll Attack.
