Water Sacks are naturally encountered on the ground and in stacks, which gameplay-wise form unlimited supplies, so the players are able to subtract from them as many fruit as they need. Every Water Sack contains a decent amount of water, and so it is necessary to put up fire. Water Sacks can be carried along the way and thrown by the [[Kong]]s at the players' order; after being thrown, they pop and spread their water burden on the hit target. This can be a small patch of burning grass or dirt, or a burning portion of a [[vine]].

Water Sacks can be utilized as weapons as well. They can be catapulted towards enemies of all sorts, and as they smash into them upon contact, the enemies get defeated. A unique enemy species called [[Porcupal]], whose members engulf themselves in flames in order to keep predators away, can be instantly extinguished and vanquished with a single Water Sack for each member.

On the other hand, in a stage called [[Rickety Rafters]], there are targets which have to be hit with projectiles in order to trigger certain mechanisms. Most commonly, these targets have to be splashed with Water Sacks.
 
The only island in the game which hosts Water Sacks is the [[Bright Savannah]], where they begin to show up in [[Scorch 'n' Torch]], one of its levels. These items then reappear in subsequent levels of this island.

Water Sacks,[1] also referred to as water fruits,[2] are objects in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. They are encountered at Bright Savannah only, beginning with the level Scorch 'n' Torch, though Water Sacks also appear in Rickety Rafters. Water Sacks can be picked up by the Kongs and used as projectiles on targets to trigger certain mechanisms. Water Sacks burst upon being thrown at a target, releasing the water inside them. Water Sacks can douse fires and defeat fiery enemies, notably Porcupals. Water Sacks resemble gigantic berries, nearly the size of the Kongs.
