Orléans, stylized in-game as Orleans, is a city in France that appears in Mario's Time Machine. Mario visits the location using his Timulator after Bowser steals Joan of Arc's Shield.
It is notable for holding the Siege of Orléans during the Hundred Years' War. It is occupied by the English army. Fighting for France, Joan of Arc occupies the outskirts of the city alongside numerous soldiers of the French army, including the Duke of Alençon. Camps are set up all around, and a barricade with spears and corpses is set up on the bridge to the nearby fort of the Tourelles. As Mario does not specifically know who Joan of Arc is, he must ask the various soldiers around the area until he figures out that she is on a nearby hill that overlooks Orleans. He leaves the area after returning the shield to Joan.
