The Fan is an item in the PC and SNES releases of Mario's Time Machine. It is a pale-orange color with a red pattern and also features the name of the storeowner who gives it. The owner of a music store in Vienna started to hand fans out to provide easy publicity, and Mario receives one after the two of them talk together. It can be given to a man in a different building who constantly complains about the heat. When he is given the fan, he greatly appreciates the relief, puts it away, and continues to gossip further about Ludwig van Beethoven.
