Don't shock the owl! is the fourth story of an additional chapter five in the game Wario Land II. It takes place in the factory of stage 4-4 and thus is a factory-themed level.
The level gets its name from a giant maze of electrical traps in the first area of the level. This maze can only be traversed with the aid of the friendly owls that carry Wario through the air once he wakes them up. In contrast to the stage's title, it is not possible to shock the owl so the player should focus on protecting Wario during this sequence. The latter half of the stage is another factory sequence, ending at the goal door.
Encountered enemies[edit]
Featured conditions[edit]
Treasure[edit]
The hidden treasure of this level is located in the same area as the goal door and can be reached in a similar way. The player has to pick up the Pirate Goom patrolling this area and climb the platforms on the right side of the room. Under the ceiling they will find a door behind a wall of Enemy Blocks. The player should break these blocks with the Pirate Goom and have Wario enter the door to obtain the treasure.
The hidden treasure of this stage is a reference to the Metroid series.
