Deletion

The page(s) you recently created (Mini-game Room) has/have been put up for deletion, has been deleted, or turned into a redirect. This may be because it violated at least one of the policies and/or guidelines of the Super Mario Wiki. There are some things you can do to ensure this doesn't happen again. Editing

I haven't heard the news, but Steve (the one who created the wiki) restricted new users from making new articles, moving, and uploading new images for at least a week -- due to the recent attacks that the wiki has. For info about the incident, read here. RAP... 17:04, 29 November 2009 (EST) *sigh*

Userpages

Check Travix Man (talk)'s talk page to see why I edit his userpage. Fan stuff? You know, most of the writing in the userpage talks about myself. That type of stuff is nonexistent, besides the drawing of Lemmy Koopa -- representing myself (and in my sig), the notebook drawing -- which it's purpose is to show other users my works of drawing, and the logo -- same purpose as the other drawing. Killing the vandals who were out to "destroy" me

I've seen the evidence as well; I'm dealing with blocking their IP so that they don't come back. 2257 and Edofenir banned the users themselves. In Wii (Changing the Language of the Console):

Super Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart Wii, Mario Super Sluggers, Mario Power Tennis, M&S: ATOG, Dr. Mario Online Rx, M&S: ATOWG (In this one you also can change the language in options), NSMBW.

In NDS (Changing the Language of the Console):

Mario Kart DS, Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, Yoshi Touch & Go (I think), M&S: ATOG, M&S: ATOWG.

The section you placed in the Princess Peach article

That part wasn't necessary because it's just only one small piece of information. Now, if it's found that there were other translations of the English name in case of Princess Peach, THEN you can add the section in. SUBST is short for Substitution which means when I had {{User:Gamefreak75/Sig2}}, I would substitute it for my original sig, so the skeleton of the sig (a.k.a. the coding) will not show.--FREAK ~Game Freak~ OUT!

"Vandel!"

I noticed you undid a reversion on the Tumble page. Though the reversion was supposed to be undone, it wasn't done by a vandal. It was just a guy new to the wiki and clicked the url button. Vandals are those who mess up the page by writing junk and stuff on purpose to get attention. I just felt like clearing this up because it looked like you freaked out or something over it. Nerdy Guy (And back to the forums I go...)

I agree with Nerdy Guy here. Please don't go shouting out "Vandal!" in edit summaries if it is a new user making their first contribution. Back in 2008, when I tried making an edit to the proposals page, I surely messed up on the coding and even messed up the page, and it would have made me feel a lot worse seeing someone shout out "Vandal!" in their edit summary.

Now I'm not telling you to not try and yell out that there is a vandal in an edit summary; if there is a vandal and you are definitely sure that they are vandalizing and not just making a mistake, then go ahead and yell it out to the administrators or other users in your edit summary. But please make sure that you double-check and know that it is a vandal, as yelling it out without knowing the situation completely can offend new users and confuse administrators.

I know you only did what you thought was right at the moment, but perhaps instead of yelling out that there is a vandal, go to that users talk page and ask them what they are doing or let them know why you undid their edit (if you unsure if they are a vandal or making a mistake). If they continue, give them {{Reminder}} if it is a minor offense, and if it is a more major offense, then go and put {{Warning}} on their talk page. If they still won't stop, put {{last warning}} in a new section and go to a Patroller's or Sysop's talk page and let them know to keep an eye on the user in question.

Also, I will ask that you please stop making rude comments in your edit summaries such as "Fireone is making random, stupid edits that usually have no relevance to what the article is about, but somehow ties it in. Somebody give him at least a warning", "God, he's talking about random things in random sections!", and the likes. This kind of behaviour on the wiki is not acceptable, and I hope you can improve on this.

Besides all that, you are doing a fairly well contributing to the wiki and keeping it clean of vandalism, and I commend you for that. Please keep up the good work, but please take my advice to improve your editing skills and to avoid further misunderstandings and confusions.

So, you've decided to write for the Fake News! However, before you can become an official writer, we need to make sure you're qualified, so we have a quick interview and few questions for you to answer.
You MUST give me (Ralphfan) your answers and section before January 4th, 2010.

For this interview, you MUST get an account on our forums. Don't worry, it's free.
Rather than putting your interview answers on my talk page where everyone can see them, you must send them to me on the forum. On the forum, click the tab that says "My Messages". It's simple, because my powers are limited by the rules. I cannot touch votes that relate to the article in some way. I hate it, probably as much as you do, and I'd love to clean up that page significantly. Especially support no. 28 caught my eye there. But we have to draw a line, and I cannot abuse my powers to remove everything I don't like. It was tough to even get permission to eliminate the most blatant fan votes, and I am glad we got at least that much freedom. In response to your message...

I noticed you sent a message to me advising me not to "delete tons of good information" from the Toad's Factory page. Here is my explanation:

The Toad's Factory article, in essence, had the course layout in 3 different sections; the Introduction, the Description, and the actual Course Layout. I found it to be quite redundant, so I deleted the course layout info in the introduction and the description. I thought the article would flow more clearly if the same information wasn't said three times in the same article.

I hope this answers any questions you may have about my editing.

Gee, ya think? With a name like Teacup'n, it's not hard to figure it out.

Ahem? Let me tell you, I have a system to insert trivia into the Did You Know section. Once we used to have only trivia from articles not older than a week. This resulted in especially lame trivia. To end this, I worked out a compromise, by putting one new trivia between two older (and more interesting) trivia. However, there is not much choice between the younger articles, so the middle trivia is often not as interesting as the two other ones.
