Smorg

I think "Smorg" should redirect to this page, rather than to Smorg Miasma. What do you guys think? General Guy 15:26, 4 September 2007 (EDT)

Screamy = Smorg?

I've been ripping some sprites/textures from TTYD lately, and I noticed something strange. Screamy (and the beta sprites that resemble him) all have "moa" in the title. Smorg is called "moamoa". I'm not very fluent in Japanese, so I'm not quite sure what these terms translate into, but could this possibly mean that Screamy's species and the Smorg species are related? — Stooben Rooben 23:54, 30 April 2010 (EDT)

Pokemon reference?

I think that the way the smorgs (and smorg) speak could be a reference to pokemon, the only thing they say is their name, as far as i've seen anyway. maybe add a trivia section? or is it just speculation? When Chauncey screams, so do I. 03:11, 4 June 2011 (EDT)

Deletion?

This article has more of a leg to stand on because the species is actually given a name - it just happens to be the exact same name as the boss. You could make the argument that Smorg and Smorg (species) are referring to the same entity/entities, since the boss is just a conglomeration of the species, but I think that deleting it outright wouldn't be helpful. Smorg appears to be about the boss specifically, whereas Smorg (species) give more info on the Smorgs in general. ...Obvious, yes, but I don't think that's enough to warrant a deletion. 20:10, 24 June 2016 (EDT)

The tattle's first lines are, "That's a Smorg. Lots of Smorgs gathered to create this huge monster." Technically, you also briefly see isolated Smorgs on your way to fight the massive Smorg. Honestly, though, this is a devil's advocate argument; most of the information on the species article is either speculation, irrelevant to the subject, or retreading point-for-point what the boss article does, so I wouldn't complain if it went. Although, if the Smorg species received a different name, it'd almost automatically get a different article... Hello, I'm Time Turner.

Smorg in Super Paper Mario

I am currently looking trough Super Paper Mario's files, and I found a sprite for a Smorg. as far as I know, Smorgs don't appear in that game. should I add it to the trivia that Smorgs were supposed to be in SPM? -- 20:15, 26 November 2016 (EST)

I didn't even realize this was split in the first place until a week or so ago. The individual is not treated any different from the collective in-game, and as such neither should we. The two times they are encountered, it is en masse, regardless if they build into an amalgamation of all of them.
