Hey Ghost Jam, while you're editing all those items pages, could you make sure to add italics around game titles? They're titles, just as you italic titles for books or movies, and thus needs to be done. Plus, you know, it looks more 'official.'

Dupilcate article problem...

Ryan repiles: When I'm starting to license this pic, "Earth quake.PNG" (without the "), I notice two articles down there that were linked to this pic. I discovered that they are dupilcates, could you merge them into one?? --

No problem. FireFox's forum memory helps speed up the process a bit. I don't have to keep retyping the deletion reason, it's already there. And I couldn't have done all this without help from RAP, whos busted his butt just as much as I have. I've kept a half-arsed list on files sizes. Would you believe that, by my math (which...is lacking), I've deleted at least 1.5mbs of image data already? Crazy. Still a ways to go. -- Chris 03:54, 9 March 2007 (EST)

Lets take a look....There are 1,383 total pages in the database. This includes "talk" pages, pages about RetroSEGA, minimal "stub" pages, redirects, and others that probably don't qualify as content pages. By 'externally linking' you mean URL linked? The image didn't have a note/template telling me that it was being used so. If a file doesn't have the proper info, what am I to assume?

Strange

The nonexistent template {{Coins}} was deleted at 7:23 EDT this evening by Sir Grodus (category made it obsolete), and had {{delete}} on it, and somehow the articles it was included in retained the effects of the delete template. So this is the review of what I said in chat. Make sure to have Steve add you onto the #mariowiki access list. Then every time you come in:

1. Identify your name with /NickServ identify password

Blocked

Hello Ghost Jam.

I'm logged into my 9 year old son's account (he supplied credentials). He's an avid Nintendo fan, and precocious computer user.

He's been reading the Super Mario Wiki for a long time. I encouraged him to get involved, couching it as the modern version of civic responsibility. After some nudging, he finally did.

He started out honestly trying to help, but then apparently slipped into vandalism. I know he did not intended it as such: he explained that he thought it was fun to add the pages, and that since they weren't linked, nobody would notice.

As for his other edits to pages, they were well intentioned but apparently not particularly helpful. I've told him that he should limit himself, for a while, to fixing typos and such, and he's OK with that and understands why it's important to keep the quality up.

When he told me he was blocked, I probed, and he told me he had added some pages that were bogus, and I explained to him why that is really bad behavior and that he should never do such things again. I've discussed his behavior with him, and he's promised reform.

Can you unblock him and give him another chance? He and I would both appreciate a second chance.
